Wiser Kennel 

We are very excited and proud of our custom made indoor/outdoor kennel! As most know if you get 4 or more dogs it's abit much for one household at once, as much as I love their company, therefore I wanted a nice, protected, clean, comfortable and orderly place for them. Everything is custome made and built wonderfully by my extremely talented and handy husband and our good friend James. Words can not express my great pride and appreciation for such a blessing. ALLOT of thought, care, money, time and effort when into this project. Everything from walls to ceiling is insulated to keep it warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The whole inside can be washed and cleansed from floor to ceiling.  All Puppies are born inside our home and carefully watched the first 4 weeks of age. Puppies are handled everyday and are intruduced to my home-made walk through triangle with odd surfaces and hanging obstacles for touch and sound for well socialized handled confident puppies. After around 4 weeks puppies are transferred into the puppy pens in our Wiser Kennel, where they continue to be handled everyday and begin potty training in the litter box and 
/or outside the kennel runs. 
When mother of puppies starts to wean them, I introduce puppies to goat milk mixed with Nutri Source soft can food and  Nutri Source puppy and/or Victor Professional. With my adult dogs I rotate between Nutri Source and Merrick, within the brands feeding variations of  dog foods throughout the year depending on the season.  Nutri Source a 4 to 5 star rating! Favorites include from Nutri Source - Small & Medium Breed Puppy, Large Breed Trout, Large Breed Beef, Large Breed Puppy, Regular Adult Chicken & Rice.  I also include in their diet Organic Cold Press Coconut Oil, sprinkle NaturVet Digestive Enzymes Plus Probiotics in their food every 3 days and occasional organic beef, farm eggs, and goats milk. I'm very pleased with the results, with their healthy soft coats and minimized stools. Note: we do not feed the grain free bags of either Merrick or Nutri Source, due to my personal opinion of too much legumes in them. We are currently feeding Nutri Source & Merrick as of 2024. We feed "cold" or "Neutral" proteins in the summer months and "warmer" proteins in the fall/winter. Please see buttons/links below for more information: 
Weather permitted I've always taken my puppies out on my “walkabouts” - I think there is no better place to help puppies discover themselves and gain confidence in open spaces - Here they teach themselves - they learn to think for themselves in finding the best way to travel, natural obstacles like logs, rocks, trees, ditches etc. If there is no danger that the pup can possibly hurt himself I don't save him when he wines or is nervous about crossing a ditch for example, I simply stop and wait for him to figure it out. Please click on button below to read a good article on this topic:
Weather permitted they also enjoy playing with the jungle gym, with tunnels, balls and toddler slide. To help make confident canine sport prospects such as agility, dock diving,  flyball, disc etc.  We also test them for their interest in livestock using our goats to help those looking for working/herding prospects. 
As well as good pack social skills...(see slide show below).
Puppies go through the Volhard’s Puppy Aptitude testing around 6 weeks old (Please see my “Aptitude Testing” page for more information / links).

Puppies are BAER tested (for bilateral hearing) at 7 weeks old by our Veterinarian.

   Well as the first born pup of King x Reata litter,  Looker is setting new records for Australian Cattle Dogs...earning her HTCh at just 14 months of age (March 2015), earning Advanced Titles and Points on Cattle, Sheep, Ducks. But most importantly she is a fun-loving, happy go lucky, energetic young cowgirl who gets along well with our other dogs (ACD, JRT, Aunt Kelpie). Looker loves to play: swim, chase & catch balls & frisbees and romp the fields with ius. Looker is an eager, biddable worker as well - she's a great helper with the morning and evening chores - gathering the training ducks & sheep to go outside for their daytime graze and assist with putting the stock up in the evenings. She is a strong cow hand is the pens and chute.  She is always on alert for barn vermin and can catch the mousers along side our JRT. Update 2016-2017...She had an amazing year in 2017. Not only did she earn an invitation to the DockDogs World Championship but she took 2nd place in the Masters Division. Dock diving is not Looker's only sport. Journey (Phantom x Maverick) is from Tiffany Wiser of Wiser Australian Cattle Dogs.
I grew up around cattle dogs and other herding breeds and Journey is my fourth personal cattle dog. I stumbled upon Wiser’s breeding program about 6yrs prior to acquiring Journey and immediately fell in love with the dogs they were producing. Through following their program virtually for many years and watching the Wiser dogs work on the farm and their daily goings, as well as seeing many happy puppy buyers’ reports and several puppies grow up it was very easy to see all the love, work and dedication put into the breed. From then on I knew that I would own a Wiser dog one day, even though it would mean traveling across the country to acquire.
I was lucky enough to watch Journey’s sire, Maverick, grow up as he is home bred stud and Tiffany has done everything with him herself. I was absolutely in love with everything about him. So when Maverick was bred to my favorite female, Phantom, and I found myself without a cattle dog in my home for the first time in years I knew I just had to have a puppy from that litter. This puppy and Wiser Cattle Dogs had a lot to live up to (6 yrs of dreaming of having a dog from them and highly regarding their breeding program and dogs).
Tiffany did not disappoint she was great to communicate with (phone, email and facebook) and was more than happy to answer any and all questions or even just talk about her dogs and their personalities with me. Journey certainly did not disappoint at all either. She is a 3rd generation Wiser Dog and all the hard work put into her and every prior generation shines through. She is everything a cattle dog should be athletic, intelligent, confident, drivey, fun, loyal, gritty, stable and full of personality, all while being a beautiful representation of the breed. She lives with 3 Belgian Malinois and is the perfect pack mate (although they’re all a little put out that she can actually out run and maneuver them in the short runs) , she gets along with dogs and people outside the family very well, but without being overly social either. She is an incredibly fun sport dog, always up for anything asked of her and picks up new behaviors and tasks incredibly fast. She actively competes in disc, lure coursing and dock diving., is training in flyball, has recently been invited to join a group of dogs that put on shows (doing tricks and sport demos) in our local area and based on the mole population control done in our yard and park daily shed probably be a great barn hunt dog as well.

    I spent almost a year researching breeders before I found Tiffany Wiser. Most of the other breeders stopped communication with me once I told them I was in the research stage and wasn't ready to commit to a breeder. Tiffany did not give me the brush off but instead spent several hrs on the phone and emails communicating. She listened to my very specific needs and wants. Though the whole process she never tried to sell me a dog. Finding the appropriate home was a priority. As a result I got exactly what I wanted.      I am the luckiest person! I have my best friend and dog sports partner thanks to Tiffany Wiser. I was looking for a dog who would like to do agility with me and could be friendly around other dogs and people. I had decided to get an Australian Cattle Dog, I just didn’t know from whom.     Thank you Tiffany for one of the best additions to our family! Badger is so smart, loyal, healthy, stout and the perfect fit for my husband Charlie. Charlie takes him shoeing most everyday and constantly get compliments on his handsomeness. He has dog friends all over the county that he loves to play with…one loved him so much he ran over a mile to the next barn just to play with him! Badger is the best hiking and fishing buddy/bodyguard a girl could ask for when I am out in the woods by myself.     After I lost my blue heeler companion Bandit,  I was in search of another pup with good cow working skills.  I searched the top 100 Austrailian Cattle Dog Breeders.  I wanted a reputal breeder with quality dogs.
I found Tiffany Wiser right here in Wyoming, after making contact and researching her breeding program I filled out her application.  Tiffany's approach to her breeding and apptitude testing of her pups was enough to convince me she was the right breeder.  I only wanted one pup, but ended up with sister mates from Blaze X Reba breeding.   Both girls are very athletic and very savy when working cattle.  I like their natural working ability as well as loyality.

Caydi Bug has been such a big enjoyment in our lives she was so easy to train and she's always been so sweet and smart but when it's time to round up donkeys or put her chickens up to bed she's all business, she's been my best buddy and been by my side 24/7. Right before Caydi turn 2 we found out Caydi's mom Sage was expecting and decided to get her a half-sister . Again it was such an easy wonderful experience with Tiffany in buying a second pup. Glenn and I wanted to send you a note about our experience with Meg and perhaps you’ll want to post it to your website!  As you know, we lost our wonderful cattle dog, CB, quite unexpectedly in May 2016.  The loss was so profound, I wasn’t sure I could handle another dog.  However a series of events and advice from a great doctor got us looking for another cattle dog and led us to you!  One thing I really liked about you and your program was the interview process both on paper and on the phone.  We waited on pins and needles to await Phantom’s litter and were not sure we were even going to get one.  Then when the pups were born the continued updates, pictures and videos on the web were priceless!  It was really so wonderful to watch them progress day by day and see the loving care they were getting from all sides.  Once we knew we were getting Meg, we couldn’t wait to get in our car and drive up to beautiful Wyoming to get her.  We were so happy to actually meet you in person and spend some time with you on your ranch.  What a treat to meet all the various other members of the Wiser family including dogs, horses, cows, goats, and more!  The only thing we missed out on was a chance to meet your husband, but who knows, maybe we’ll get that opportunity in the future.  Meg is incredibly loving, smart, athletic, tenacious, friendly, stubborn and everything you’d expect in a cattle dog.  Practically wherever we go, she’s right by our side.  We look forward to a long and fun life with our sweet girl.  Thank you for giving us your exceptional breeding program and the opportunity to welcome Meg to our home!

Not much training as far as that goes and her recall is magnificent! She's wonderful with my 2 year old granddaughter. When we take the baby outside Syndey goes with us...she's a natural with her and watches over her like a hawk. Sydney steers her from going too far away or from going in the wrong direction. Sydney loves going with us to work and to the lake. She is so outgoing with people and animals - not a shy bone in her body!  She has a strong drive to work and play and is learning basic commands very quickly.  We just wanted to thank you once again for our girl Tala. What a wonderful experience it has been. You did such a terrific job keeping us updated weekly with super quality pictures as well as information phone conversations. The pictures were the high light of our week while we were waiting on her to come home. Everyone that sees her has complemented us on such a well balanced pup both physically and mentally. On our first trip to the vet a lady that was there waiting approached us inquiring were she came from She was very knowledgeable about ACDs and insisted we write down contact numbers for the local confirmation classes as she felt she was ver special. We are so proud of her as you and Sage should be. We feel we have formed a strong friendship with you through Tala and are pleased to be a part of your Wiser Stock Dog Family.  We also wanted to let you know what a super lady Dawn is at Great Lakes Airlines. Even after Tala arrived in Denver and was no longer in her care she called and notified us of the United flight delay due to stormy weather. This was above and beyond the call of duty! Once Tala was in the care of United Airlines they as well were excellent care givers. During the flight delay they changed her bedding, provided fresh food and water and everyone we were in contact with called her by name and treated her as their own. In fact her flirty personality had them all wanting to take her home. I would recommend theses airlines to anyone interested in flying the puppies to their new homes. Once again a goth THANK YOU to yourself and the great employees of Great Lakes and United Airlines. Our vet was very impressed with Tala. She commented that the quality of Tala reflects an excellent breeding program and she stated that it was very obvious she has had excellent care growing up. Thanks to all the fantastic trainmen eh had with you, he has been the easiest and best rained cattle dog pup we've ever owned. WE experienced none of the usual new pup headaches and training difficulties that can be so common. From the beginning he's been great around horses and with the kids. He always responds quckly and knows moan more commands than most dogs his age. He's also very eager to please and as a result has been super easy to continue to train.  Thanks again for doing such a great job...I wish all of our dogs had been this easy.
